Does anyone have any programmes relating to Twickenham FC? I am working on writing a short piece about the club but to say info is scarce is an understatement.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Here's the front of the teamsheet from the Maidenhead United v Twickenham match played on 22nd September 1945.

The groundshare with Brentford didn't come to fruition, so Twickenham played the rest of their "home" games on the opponents grounds. They did play some matches at Kneller Hall before this happened.

I've also got the teamsheet from their "home" game with Maidenhead on 1st November 1945.

The Epsom & Ewell FC Historical website:

http://www.eefconline.co.uk/index.html

will give you a grid showing all of Twickenham's results + dates of matches played in their only season as members of the Corinthian League (1945/46).

Select the "Historical Archive" button, then under the "League Tables, Result and Date Grids from 1918 - 2019" heading select "First Team" and you'll download an excel file with all the info.

Twickenham then became founder members of Metropolitan & District League in 1949/50 but left at the end of 1952/53 season.

FA Amateur Cup - Complete Results book shows them having competed in that competition 27 times between 1947 and 1966. The last game being away to Civil Service in the 1965/66 Preliminary Round losing 6-0

Thanks guys. I had gathered the FHCD info already but the Amateur Cup info is something I will certainly look in to. So far, I have the following rough cobbled together notes before checking back here today:

FA Cup

1946/47 - EXP: Twickenham 1 - Acton Town 2
1947/48 - PRE: Twickenham 1 - Leavesden 3
1948/49 - PRE: Walton & Hersham 11 - Twickenham 1

1945/46 - Corinthian League
1949/50 - Metropolitan & District League
1953/54 - Parthenon League
1966/67 - Middlesex League

Final season: 1973/74

Grounds: Beveree, Richmond & Ivy Bridge, Isleworth

Gone but not Forgotten by Dave Twydell number 20 has an article on Twickenham Association FC. With feedback on the article in issue 22.

Also The Beveree is in Hampton and not in Richmond.

Thank you for the advice about Gone but not Forgotten, I will have to check that out! You are of course right about The Beveree, that was my own short hand ‘Hampton & Richmond’ as I live in the Teddington area myself.
