PREDICTOR LEAGUE 2019/20 RULES & FORMAT

THE FORMAT

The season will run for 38 Rounds.

We have 30 teams entered for this season

There will be four Divisions, two made up of seven teams and two made up of eight teams.

I have just drawn the teams out of a velvet bag under strict FA supervision and these are the Divisions. Teams were drawn randomly and not by regions.

These four Divisions will run for 24 Rounds.

After Round 24, we will lose ten teams – two each from the Divisions with seven teams and three each from the Divisions with eight teams.

The remaining five teams from Sick as a Parrot and Over the Moon Divisions will become a new Division of ten teams – ONE GAME AT A TIME DIVISION.

The remaining five teams from Ref’s had a Shocker and Kissing the Badge will become a new Division of ten teams – GAME OF TWO HALVES DIVISION.

All points from the previous 24 rounds will be carried forward into the new Divisions.

After Round 30, we will lose another eight teams, four from each Division.

The remaining six teams from each Division will make up one Final Division of twelve teams – THE OUR NAME’S ON THE TROPHY DIVISION.

As before, all points from the previous 30 rounds will be carried forward into the new Division.

After another eight rounds, we will have our Champions.

In the event of any teams being tied on the same points at either of the cut off points, the Golden Boot totals will be used as a tie breaker to determine who goes through. See below for details.

THE RULES

1. 10 Matches per week to predict.
2. Correct result = 1point.
3. Correct Scoreline = 3 points.
4. Highlight one fixture for Double points.

NEW – If all ten results are predicted correctly in any Round, a bonus 5 points will be awarded, regardless of the scorelines of those matches.

NEW “ish!” – Last season’s Golden Boot was a good idea, but as Sharrowblade admitted, a bit of a nightmare to manage, so I have tweaked it a bit.

Every week, I will select one of the chosen fixtures. Choose a goalscorer from that match and receive a point for every goal scored by that player in that game only. No restrictions on how many times you choose any player.

Predictions to be in before the first kick off. If you are late, only the games started before you enter will be invalid. There will be no free hit average if you forget completely this season.

I will normally avoid selecting Friday night matches, although the International breaks may be slightly different, so Saturday 3pm will pretty much be the norm for the first match.

Updated tables will be shown every Monday along with the fixtures for the following weekend.

Round 1 Fixtures will be uploaded on Monday 5th August.
