Last week I posted this photo here as "1920's mystery photo at Arsenal" as I was 99% sure it was Highbury and has a London stamp on the back.

However, I am now assured that it's OLD TRAFFORD but still we don't know who's playing. If it's a United defender on the left, on his knees, then who could the 2 forwards middle & right be? Could be Leicester City in the 20's which is what I thought last week, but that's a guess. United & Leicester played between 1922 and 1931.

Can anyone throw any light on this, please?

Thanks again for any help. And let's face it, if you guys can sort out Bangor City v Carnarvon pre WW1, then I'm sure you can sort this one from Old Trafford!

The player on the right could be Arthur Chandler. Also during the 1920's Leicester kept changing their style of socks from one band to 2 bands at the top (As in the photo), also we changed the style of our collar from a collar type to a round / v neck style.
Will try and sort some old photos out over the weekend to try and compare.

Right, more news on this.

Firstly, thank you Foxes, and if that is Leicester and maybe Arthur Chandler, that could be good news.

However, it's now been confirmed (by Leslie) that it is NOT Old Trafford and NOT Manchester United.

So now these questions remain - where is it, and who is it?

Stamford Bridge perhaps?

It looks like Leicester especially with what appears to be white cuffs on the shirts and double stripe on top of the socks.

Is it definitely Stamford Bridge? If so, then I guess that would rule out Leicester as they wouldn't be wearing blue. The other team looks like it could be a deep red shirt...Liverpool?

May well not be Stamford Bridge and I agree it looks like Leicester.
