Click the button at the bottom of this post to view my wants list.

I have been toying with this idea for a while now and have finally managed to pull my finger out and get started.

I am looking for programmes from all the fixtures that were played on the day I was born... 10th Feb 1973...I have not really done much research but I assume 95% of these will be fairly easy/cheap to obtain.

This is the start of a much larger project that will involve loads of web-based geekiness.

Cheers mate, I replied but then deleted my inbox. If you sent me a message in the last 15 minutes it has probably been deleted. I do want the programme you offered though

Stodin,

Great idea for a collection mate! I have two programmes for the day I was born, Rochdale vs. Swansea City and also a Wales game, against Czechoslovakia I think, really good to have.

Anyway, don't know if you've got any kind of list or not, but here are the FL games played that day:

English Division 1
Birmingham 2-0 Derby
Chelsea 4-2 Sheff Utd
Leicester 2-0 Leeds
Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal
Man Utd 2-1 Wolves
Newcastle 1-1 Coventry
Norwich 0-1 West Ham
Southampton 0-0 Everton
Tottenham 2-3 Man City
West Brom 0-4 C Palace

English Division 2
Brighton 2-0 Luton
Burnley 4-1 Hull
Cardiff 1-0 Carlisle
Huddersfield 1-0 Fulham
Leyton Orient 2-0 Blackpool
Middlesbro 2-1 Bristol C
Millwall 3-1 Oxford
Nottm Forest 0-0 QPR
Preston 0-5 Portsmouth
Sheff Wed 1-0 Sunderland
Swindon 1-3 Aston Villa

English Division 3
Bolton 2-0 Grimsby
Brentford 5-0 Port Vale
Bristol R 3-3 Oldham
Chesterfield 1-2 Wrexham
Rochdale 4-1 Notts Co
Rotherham 0-2 Swansea
Scunthorpe 0-2 Charlton
Watford 1-3 Blackburn
York 4-1 Tranmere

English Division 4
Bradford 2-2 Crewe
Cambridge U 3-1 Newport
Chester 5-0 Darlington
Colchester 1-2 Barnsley
Gillingham 2-0 Hereford
Lincoln 2-2 Bury
Mansfield 2-0 Aldershot
Reading 3-0 Northampton
Torquay 1-0 Peterborough
Workington 0-0 Hartlepool

Our programme at Rotherham should be easy and cheap to obtain.

Thanks for the list Geddon, I am glad you posted it as I realised that I put the wrong dates in my football stats site for the 3rd division

Don't have the programme, but do have the memory of the Bolton vs Grimsby game that day at the old Burnden Park. Charlie Wright, the former old Town favourite goalkeeper was between the sticks for Bolton that day, and as always he had a crack with us.
Remember trying to blend in with the crowd upon leaving as there wasn't any segregation then and quite a number of local youths wanted to discuss the finer points of the game with me and 3 or 4 mates. Didn't work, and we were set upon, but managed to get back into the ground, only for the local police to think some ecrement had come their way when we asked for assistance. Told politely to enjoy "sex and travel" and shown over to the far side of the ground, where there was another route to the car park where the coaches were parked.
Had to run the gauntlet of yet more Trotter's fans to get to safety, but managed to do so eventually. Had a great night out in Manchester, which as usual in those days, ended in a mass brawl in Picadilly as waited for the coach to pick us up. Memories? Huh....
Hope you get as much enjoyment out of your programmes as I did on my travels during that season, out first in the old third division when we used to take a huge travelling support to most games.

Laughing Nice match report.

I remember getting ran all over the gaff at Bolton when I went to watch Notts County there in a play-off semi final in the late 80's(ish)

I have managed to place orders with Brentside and Footballprogrames.com for 26 of the 39 I need. Good start to this project

My birthday saw only 1 fixture - the FA Cup Final between Bolton & Man Utd. Don't like either of them though I do have the programme somewhere.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SOUTHAMP.....413837a33c here is Southampton game... i wouldn't pay that much.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BIRMINGH.....4cec12ebf1 Birmingham for a penny is better

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BURNLEY-.....588458e195 Burnley?

This is easy . I guess you can pick most from Ebay in a few months. I did something similar with the 63/4 season and it took me no time to get 99% of all clubs. Good Luck

Just to update this.

I have made good progress thanks to people on here and dealers websites.

I am waiting for 11 programmes from footballprogrammes.com and I have sourced another 6 from various dealers. Once all these arrive I need just 4 to complete the 1st part of this project.

Bradford City v Crewe Alexandra
Lincoln City v Bury
Mansfield Town v Aldershot
Rotherham United v Swansea City
