Hi,I'm a keen collector of approximately 300 Chelsea programmes (Mostly from since I started going to games in 1994) and decided my next project will be to collect the year I was born,1984! Now to decide whether to do 83/84,84/85 or just 84 as a year!!

Hi chelseapep
Why not use you summer birth date as a starting point? You should be able to fill 84-5 and on at your leisure without massive spending, good luck!

fair point you would only be able to go for pre season friendlies.

In my opinion I would collect the season you were born you can look back what was happening before you were born and after.

were any matches played on or near to your birthday?

Hi
As a fellow Chelsea fan I would go for 1983/84 season as this was the first time we won the old division 2 title.
Great times watching a young team including Kerry Dixon, pat Nevin and Nigel spackman superbly managed by John Neal.

Thanks Martin,Some great names in that side wasn't there! A great one to get would be from the following season, the famous Arsenal game at Highbury!
