Hi All,

Is anyone planning to drive down from the North East of England the day before or the day of the big fair in London on Sunday 3rd January and return that day or the next day?

If so, might there be a space in the car and a desire to split petrol costs? If so, PM me please, cheers.

Anyone else from here planning to be there tomorrow ( I assume many will be...)

I will put in an appearance so if you bump into an insane optimist looking for pre war Plymouth stuff that will be me :0

Peter

How did the fair go? Any highlights or stories from collectors of particular items they picked up there? How happy were the dealers with the day?

i also would have loved to have been at that fair.Unfortunately i didn't have the time to travel

i hope there was something for all the collectors and the dealers were satisfied with the takings.
If this fair can't be a huge success then there is no hope for the smaller fairs

I was at the fair and spent a few enjoyable hours chatting to many of the stallholders and looking through their boxes. Managed to pick up a few interesting non league programmes at reasonable prices including some representative matches where players from Bishops Stortford were involved. The first couple of hours seemed very busy but it became much quieter after that. The general feeling amongst many of the stallholders was that overall numbers through the door were probably lower then last year. For once the date did not clash with the F A Cup 3rd round weekend.
