The security Craig put into place appears to be no longer working.

Until this is sorted there is probably no point posting anything remotely interesting or informative as the posts will just get lost in this sea of c**p.

Are you not able just to disable new registrations? that will stop it short term once the existing spam ID's are removed.

Hello

I have set it so that users must verify themselves before they can post. Although this won't stop users registering, it should stop them posting : I hope. I'll keep an eye over next 24 hours and see.

Further to my last message. I just noticed all the spam seems to be in the ticket section. When checking the settings for this area it was set up to allow guest posting! I've now changed so that only registered users can post, just like in the rest of the forum. This should sort the problems.

Also, please just ignore my own next post which appears like spam!

Seems as though there needs to be another admin person and a moderator or two added to the list just in case things go pear shaped again and you're both away without internet access!

I'm in Turkey, currently on hols, and lucky enough to have free wifi wherever you go in the whole of the resort...... Been keeping tabs on the forum when not bbq'ing oneself!
