Surely the most controversial Rangers item ever!

This is the match programme for the game v Aberdeen on 11 May 1991.

It has a full page advert for the Robbie Coltrane film THE POPE MUST DIE.

I was told that it was actually John Greig that said there is no way this can be sold on match day as we would be hammered from pillar to post.

A new limited print was done for the match and the offending programmes sent to the incinerator.

However a few were saved making this a very rare programme.

Must be worth a fortune, did you see the one that was on ebay, I posted it on here once, i'll try and find it.

I did see this listing however you will find that it was not actually the match programme but another item based upon the advert.

It wasn't a match programme it was a panto programme featuring the first team squad with Ian Ferguson as the pope.
Absolutely no doubt in my mind it was not genuine.

from memory there was a guy that worked in the printers who got a few before they got binned,they crop up from time to time on ebay although less frequently now,i sold mine for circa £150 about 3 years ago,probably get more for it now I would imagine

This came from printer as well.

I havent actually seen it on ebay or even on auction sites and would certainly expect it to have risen in price since your own issue.

Dont know if many "Gers" collectors here however have been checking out prices on ebay ie Sparta away £225,etc I have most of these and many others and certainly not at those prices.

Will list a couple and see how it goes.

It isn't mine, I just saw it on ebay about a year ago,I think the guy had it for sale t £1500 but it never sold.
The Sparta away 59/60, one sold on ebay few months ago for £75.

I have the original program as my dad worked in the printers, trying to get a valuation on it
