Enjoyed a couple of hours at the fair today. Not lots of Watford stuff about but managed to pick some nice items off Ian Hands and John Dee.

Attendance was ok too, so hopefully the stallholders had a profitable day.

Hopefully Bazza is still counting his £1k + backboard sales... Cool

Easy

Had a good day despite driving over 3 hours in the fog. Anyone know why there were no lights on the M6 and M1 for over 40 mile.. Mad

The attendance was down due to Football matches, bedroom bandits and the weather. It was a well organised fair with lots of quality stock on sale and free parking in Laaannnndon is always a bonus.
Money was around i had 62 single sales (25 if your a taxman).
My top sale was a Walsall v Arsenal FACup match 1933 which i sold for £500 and I sold several over £150 Each. I managed to buy a large quanity of Laaannndon based tickets, including (Chelsea) Watford Chris ignored my stall pity really as i had a some tickets from around when Elton John was straight and got married (To a Woman). .. Love Love

Sorry Bazza, I couldn't get to your stall due to it being so busy. I didn't think you'd be interested in my £1.50 I had to spend anyway! Thumbs Up

i think Bazza still has a lot of the very tasty Watford bound volumes he bought a few years ago
Having said that i don't think £1.50 will even get you a chance to view them!!

I know they are very rare but as they are only Watford the Watford collectors feel they need to pay no more than £30 for a pre war.
Not the the silly prices paid by Manchester United,Chelsea,West Ham,Blackburn and Spurs

Hello Ray I had over 60 Pre War Watford left of the 400+ I purchased on EBAY for £60 BUY IT NOW. (The best Ebay bargain of all time)
No one even asked to view them they must be out of their price range (£5-£10) .. Were your ears burning yesterday around 3 o clock I was having a humourous conversation with your friend the Ex TV personality.

Happy New Year Barry
it doesn't surprise me nobody asked to see them
It's easier to complain they are too expensive and wait a life time to try to find first season of whatever club they collect for a fiver
I presume you are talking about Angus
A lovely man

Best ebay bargain of all time? I'm sure you're referring to when you bought them? Nod

Angus yes he is a lovely man but very annoying, when going through my tickets he just plonks them in the nearest box he can find. Had a chat with Hunter Davies now theres a man with a lot of big stories to tell.
