The Football Trader and Collector

Hello all.

As I'm relatively new to this collecting lark I may be repeating a question that has previously been answered (although I have done a search on this forum without any joy).

I was wondering if anybody knew when 'The Football Trader and Collector' magazine, edited by Gary Enderby, closed? I picked up a December/January 2008 issue via eBay last week but believe it went on for a good while thereafter. I also think I am right in saying it had no connection to the subsequent publication called 'Football Trader' (which metamorphosed into 'Sports Trader' this year, although it doesn't appear to have been published since April's second issue).

Any info would be much appreciated.

I have the November 2009 issue of Football Trader and Collector magazine due to the inclusion of Barrow AFC.

I don't know how much longer the magazine went on for, but it was still active at the end of 2009.

Looking at the Football Trader magazine, I think it superseded the Football Trader and Collector magazine.

The website:- www.thesportstrader.co.uk has current and back issues available for sale of the Football Trader magazine.

There's also odd copies on ebay, but some of these are quite expensive.

I have some copies of 'The Football Collector' launched circa March 1996. It changed it's name to 'The Football Collector & Historian' with no.1 being launched in October 1997. Finally, it was relaunched again with the same title but a different editor with the first issue being in May 1999.

Does anybody know if these were predecessors to the Football Trader & Collector?
