Anyone have any idea when Chris Gibbs excellent Portsmouth programme fair is arranged for its usually around the back end of October, but I haven't heard anything yet

Just checked Programme Monthly and there is nothing listed in the 'What's On' feature in the September edition.

Hi,

The Pompey fair is scheduled for Sunday 12th October. I will be having a stall at the fair. Once I have found out who else is having a stall at the fair I will post details here.

The Fair is in the Victory Suite at Fratton Park. Entrance via car park behind Fratton (West) stand.
Doors open at 11am and close at 2pm. Entrance is £1 for adults and free the under 16’s.

There will be a raffle of a signed Pompey shirt in aid of the Anthony Nolan Cancer Appeal in memory of Eddy Wilson who died after a short illness a few months ago. Eddy was a big supporter of the fairs and was normally found manning the entrance door.

Stall holders so far, Chris Gibbs (Portsmouth FC), Mick Hall, Andrew Murray, Ian Hands, Bill Priddy, Steve Bytheway, Steve Byrne, Martin Lane and Grahame Farmel

Chris has a couple of spare stalls so if anyone is interested you can contact him on 07761 001079 or via e-mail [email protected]

as I am heading for Renishaw(for Subbuteo) and the Stoke programme fair on the same day

A bit of confusion to be settled here, CFC thanks for the information and I hope that its correct about the fair at fratton park being on the 12th Oct because I'll definitely be able to make it ,but I've just seen the What's on section of Program Monthly and they've got the date as 19 Oct which is a problem with work (I may have to throw a Sickie) so has anyone got the real date ,I'm hoping the PM date is an error and that it will be held on the 12 th !

I have added this fair into the list on the right.
Have used the date as the 19th.
Should anyone find this or anything else is wrong please give me a shout.

Hi All,

I have spoken to Chris Gibbs & just to confirm to everybody that the Portsmouth fair will definetly take place on SUNDAY 12TH OCTOBER & not 19th October as advertised in Programme Monthly.

Thanks for clarifying this matter everyone involved, I will definitely be attending now that it's the 12 th I will make myself known to you when I arrive Martin and a box of kit Kat's is on its way as a thanks for taking the time to get the correct information ( i make em for a living)
Pete, fascinating photographs of the old programmes and press cuttings etc you must have a cracking collection there ,spent hours poring over them and there's loads of programmes that I didn't even know existed !

May I ask if you have any football film footage of Portsmouth football club?

I have most Portsmouth v Bristol City stuff from season 1990
