As we are in the period of the 100th anniversary of WW1 and for those of you who are interested in football history I found the attached on the internet:

Finally a book is due to be published later this month "The Final Season" by Nigel McCrery which covers this subject in more detail.

Some excellent and thought provoking reading.

An interesting book I have in my library is 'The Khaki Years' by Gerry Wolstenholme.

This tells the story of Blackpool FC during seasons 1915/6 to 1918/9.
