Progs with Football Lge Reviews in them

What are peoples thoughts on progs produced during the late 60's/early 70's with a Football League Review inserted in them. I know some collectors will not buy a prog if the FLR has been removed. Personally if I was offered a prog with the FLR removed, I would accept it, but I know of some collectors who would think of it as incomplete.

To be honest, I've not come across many that had the FLR stapled into the programme, they are usually just slotted into the middle pages.

I don't care either way. The progs I have that have a FLR inside them I keep. But if I buy one that has to be posted to me I ask the seller to chuck it out to save postage.

Leeds homes from that period usually had the FLR stapled into the programme itself. You'd get 4 pages of programme, then the FLR, with more pages of the actual programme in the centre. A right job to dismantle and remove the FLR if you wanted to.

I have gradually updated my collection to ones that include the FLR, but before I had complete seasons, I wasnt that bothered if they were in or not, just got what I could to complete the season.

If they are stapled in ,I will leave as they are..The FLR content can be quite interesting.Suppose someone may be collecting the FLRs ?

They were a good read. It must have made programme editors lazy. Just bung in a few items and adverts and fill it out with the league review.
