you might want to take at look at the British library website
best take a look whilst Scotland is till part of Britain!!!
Joking aside all early programmes were seen as newspapers so had to be lodged with the Post Office who looked after these things
As such they ended up with the British Library
If you google British Library Football Programmes it will take you in the right direction
They are showing they hold
Kilmarnock from 1929/30
The Lanarkshire which covers Albion,Airdrionians,Hamilton Academicals and Motherwell from 1929/30
The National Football programme glasgow from 1913
On a personal note i own a Manchester United v Glasgow Celtic programme from 1914
This and many other gems can be found at
www.flickr.com/photos/63580000@N04/sets
The worlds largest private Manchester United collection.

Interesting point Treble99.
I will check that out, I assume it costs?
Another reason to vote Yes, our archives will be available FREE to all Scottish citizens, it's well documented we don't like to part with our money! |

I don't know what i'm voting yet so I don't know if i'll be disappointed. So far i've only heard the views of football supporters and they won't decide which way it goes. I'm thinking that common sense says that the nationalists don't have a good plan in place,if they did have we would know about it. |

Have you read the Govt white paper Eck? it sets out very clearly the plan for after a Yes vote, and would answer any questions you have.
The main Hearts forum have just ran a poll on the issue, of 400 responses, 56% were Yes, 30% No, and 14% Undecided. They ran the exact same poll two months ago, there has been a 5% swing towards Yes.
I know you use Facebook, there is a very good page set up by Rangers Supporters for Independence, look it up.
The information is out there, if you have an open mind on it, seek and you shall find. _________________ https://www.flickr.com/photos/footballprogrammes/albums |

Yes
Should Scotland be an independent country ? |
Which, if I may split hairs for a minute, is a very different question to "Is it best for Scotland to be an independent country?" _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/derby1884/sets/ |

It is indeed, but that is what the Electoral Commission decided upon. The SNP wanted;
Do you agree that Scotland should be an independent country? _________________ https://www.flickr.com/photos/footballprogrammes/albums |

I remain open-minded but my gut instinct tells me that devolution is a happy medium and that the move to independence, were it to occur, would be based more upon emotion than practicality.
On the other hand, the "Union", as such, does itself no favours when it is so blatantly centred around London and the Home Counties.
Given that we Scots already have a devolved Parliament, I think it's the economically deprived areas of England who should be pushing for a more representative form of governance. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/derby1884/sets/ |

Personally I think what we have now is the worst solution possible.
Either way, not the thread for this sort of debate! _________________ https://www.flickr.com/photos/footballprogrammes/albums |

It's quite funny because I was going to start an independence thread and inadvertantly I have!
Yes from me also, who wants their decisions made by posh boys 900 miles away? |

it's a free service to view at the British Library by the way
And letting Scottish football decide the vote is a big no no.
They've forgotten how to play football.
What few games i watch,as my son is at Edinburgh University involve Hibs and Hearts.
They could take the ball off the pitch.
Nobody would miss it |

I'm with you on that one, DevoMax or whatever it will be called. It is a heart v head thing for me and being the cold calvinist that I am the SNP have a lot more convincing to do. |
