I have E Mailed a friend in the village who knows Glyn Pardoe. Hopefully he can supply the answer. |
Reply received but no good news. My contact in the Village used to be a mate of Glyn's as Glyn was on the support staff at the site where we worked before I took V.R. After that he used to see Glyn at the golf club but sod's law he has not seen him for a while and no longer has his contact details.
Sorry for the false hope. M |

I'll have to list this bloke as "Rock Drummer". |

Pete, I'm currently working on the theory that it could be Billy Telford but I'm struggling to find a picture of him, dates/age etc seem to fit just need an image.
He also appeared briefly for Colchester, Peterborough & Runcorn - possibly also for Tranmere and Burnley, not sure.
Perhaps a supporter of one of the above clubs may be able to help?

Have now found a Billy Telford playing for Bangor City in the 77/8 Anglo-Italian tournament - Looking at the team photo in the programme it doesn't really look like him unless he's aged rapidly or isn't the same Billy Telford!

Hi
I had this unnamed photo in among a batch of City players recently - and even a City collector I know doesn't recognise this bloke, who looks like he might be a rock drummer in his spare time.
Any clues out there in FPC land please?
 |
Obscure candidates from mid 70s City teams:
(and my opinion)
Colin Barrett - no
Jeff Clarke - no
Kenny Clements - no
Jimmy Conway - prob not
Barney Daniels - don't know
Mick Doherty - don't know
Geoff Hammond - no
Phil Henson - no
Micky Horswill - don't think so
Mike Lester - don't know
Billy Telford - don't know
Think need to find old programmes... |

Horswill & Hammond were definitely ginger so it ain't them!
Good luck tomorrow Mr Toffeedan in what Sharrowblade referred to as a home banker. That's either rhyming slang or the kiss of death! _________________ For a daily feed of football nostalgia please click on the link to view my Twitter page on your PC - https://twitter.com/MemorabiliaMal

Thanks for this, much appreciated (by me)
It's not Mike Lester cos this is him in same series
Never heard of Billy Telford though till now.
Thanks to you and everyone else who's tried to help. The photo itself might be worth £2 to someone but a lot more to the player himself should he chance on my website. Some people can only see a £££££ in anything. |

I'm not very good at adding photos, and this is small, but the guy 2nd from the left in the middle row is the world renowned footballer Wayne Lambert.
Could it be him?
Bazza what do you think? |

Wayne's career perhaps not as illustrious as his father Ray, who starred for Liverpool in the 40s and 50s.

Lambert, whose son Wayne was once on the books of Manchester City,
The same euphemism that Gordon Ramsey uses... |

Well done Rocky and thanks again to everyone (well, nearly everyone!).
Can't see Wayno anywhere, so he didn't drop a division or two either by the look of it.
And so to bed.
Cheers all |

No idea what happened to him but don't think City ever received a fee for him. He was their top scorer in the Central League that season. _________________ For a daily feed of football nostalgia please click on the link to view my Twitter page on your PC - https://twitter.com/MemorabiliaMal |
