Having just had the most wonderful Saturday in the company of Roland and Arthur, was wondering if it's viable again before the end of the season? Am convinced it will be, and was wondering if anybody else on here would be interested? There are a few limitations...
1. It would have to be in the north west to make it viable for the old codgers to make it.
2. No shandy drinkers allowed.
3. No lager drinkers allowed.
4. Would take in a local non league game, maybe the likes of Congleton Town where they have real ale, and are sponsored by the brewery, at their ground. Their pies are damn tasty too.
5. Copious amounts of real ale HAVE to be drunk before and after the game. If it's at Congleton it can be done at half time too! Must be worth thinking about!

If there is a demand, or folk think they'd like to put in an appearance, please let me know and I'll look at B&B in the area. I stayed in one near Garstang that has good real ale and is only £30 per night, including a full English. Must be plenty of others.

This isn't a wind up, just an attempt to have another good day / night out. I'm convinced there's three of us already?

This Jolly Boys' Day Out sounds like a good laugh. Smile

Wouldn't mind tagging along to the next one, is it feasible to travel from Teesside? Not long moved to Englandshire and a bit of a geographic novice tbh...

Two ways that it could be done

1. Travel across to the likes of Carlisle on the train, where I could pick you up driving down from Scotland.
2. Travel directly down from the north east on the train - keeping your eyes open for any of the offers they put on periodically for cut price travel. Signing up on line usually guarantees you get the offers electronically.
