Dont know if this has been in the papers.
Its that time of year again that season ticket renewal forms are hitting peoples doormats.
Derby have had a couple of dreadful seasons and alot of fans have said they are not renewing.
Derby are owned by Yanks and fans blame them for not putting there hands in there pockets and buying players rather than loaning them like we have for the last two seasons.
Now as the renewals arrive the yanks have been on local radio with this statement.
This summer we will do everything in our power to get a team that will push for the top six renew your season ticket before the end of april and you can have it at last years price.During the summer if you dont think we have stuck to our promise and brought in a quality of player that you think will benefit us you can have your money back but you must do this before the first game of the season.
We can only wait and see.
Has anyother club offered this before?

I think you'll need more than one good signing!

It does look pretty good but I doubt many will return their ticket.

Posh have frozen season ticket prices this year which is a good move for fans and if you renew before mid April you're guaranteed to have the same price for the following two years!

We're also offering a 75 year season ticket for £12,000 which is transferrable to a friend or family member. Fantastic value if you have it spare and there is only 50 available

Lets hope we see you again next season

Seems to me the club are giving something there. Most seem to just say "buy now and pay last seasons prices".

As for the yanks, well I've always said if Albion were taken over by "outsiders" or a sugar daddy type then that would be the end of it for me. I still cling to the idea that Albion are a traditional club eventhough I know inside it's now just a vehicle for the chairman pension plan.

I would say if you can afford it, don't let anything the Yanks do stop you supporting your club.

I general point about club freezing prices, it's all bollocks because they just store up that as an excuse to slap on a bigger rise later down the line. It's also bad business and shows they got there figures wrong last season. The rise it when they think they can get away with it.

Everton have, again, frozen prices. £450 for 19 games in the PL isn't too bad really - it's a bit more in the Main Stand and a bit less in the Lower Gwladys (£435 I think).

I bought and paid for mine before Jan 4 as NCFC were doing a pre VAT early bird deal. Our renewals get earlier and earlier every year. We have already sold 21,500 so because of the size of our ground, you almost have to have an ST as its the only way to get in to the big games. Mine was £414 behind the goal.

Our chairman decided to announce at the start of March that all current season ticket holders had 3 weeks to renew at this seasons prices as there would be an increase as yet un-announced.
In my opinion ,in the current economic climate this is utter madness and people should have been given more time.
I've done mine as i object to giving any more money to the ****.

Just sorted mine out over the past few days, £399 and virtually on the half way line...£299 for the old man and prices frozen for the next three season as I bought mine early when the riddler was in charge...basically he said if you bought before chrimbo we'd get a five year prize freeze.

They reckon we are going to have about 8 million to spend but this will include wages I guess.Thats right just tell everybody what we have to spend so we can be held to ransom.
It looks like Frank Fielding will be one also heard we are talking to Nathan Tyson,Lee Bowyer name is also being banded about.

I've not been to a Gills game for years, i was asked about going earlier this season to see them when they were in the bottom half of the league playing another team in the bottom half of the league and was told that the tickets were £23 each, i mean fourth tier football at £23 a ticket, GET KNOTTED.

I've seen two games this season and that's only because my dad can get discounted tickets as a perk of his retirement package, the two games were Aston Villa V West Ham, and Aston Villa V Chelsea the tickets for both games were £10 each,

Everton at £450 seem decent prices works out at just under £23.70 per game, do you get cup games included or just priority for when the tickets become available..

I gave up my Arsenal season ticket a couple of years ago, refusing to pay the extortionate prices any longer. I am retaining my Silver Membership, which I have to pay for, in case I decide to see them for the odd game in the future, though at 50-60 quid, why would I do that when I can go and see Welling United for £12 seated. I have just purchased a Charlton season ticket for next season for £375 for a top seat which implies that Arsenal are ripping off fans as far as I'm concerned.
The following season, I think I'll purchase a season ticket in Welling's Executive Area for less than £300 I think and that includes food at half time I understand.
Have been to a lot of Amateur games this season and have been quite chuffed with the whole experience. Much more fun and a lot less stressful.

Some clubs just do not give good value, yet others are superb.

Peterborough the early deal for a seat is £400 if bought before mid April then goes up to about £450, yet Blackburn is around £220 per season and then Posh complain about their dwindling support.

Non-League football is the way forward. £6 entry at Hythe Town, this includes a programme (a good read too) and I can stand/sit where I like.

An added bonus, we are top of the league and look set for promotion.

A league cup final, 1st round of the FA Cup - not bad really!! Oh, it's also free parking and I can park next to the turnstiles.

I fully support non-league football here but do you not think that the growing number of people moving from league attendence to non-league attendence will have an adverse effect on the price for non-league games ?

I mean if clubs are over subscribed in there more expensive areas they will soon jump on to the same gravy train as the league clubs did back in the 1990s. This means normal tickets prices will go up on demand and clubs will look to expand on the areas to accomdate this new non-league "cucumber sandwich" crowd.

My Nantwich Town season ticket cost on twenty pounds, which I think is great value even if they are not doing to well.

I can't recall how much Wednesday are charging, around £350 i think. Unless they sign at least 9 new players in the summer I wouldn't take one for £3.50.

You can pay up front for Cup Ties but if you don't you have a guaranteed seat for a certain period before general sale (about 3-4 days I think) - some games would be £15 or £20 - This season we played Huddersfield (League Cup) - I think it was around £20 - and Chelsea (FA Cup) £23 or so - not sure now but definitely a bit less than general match prices. I think my seat per game sells for around £34 and a bit more if it's Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and possibly Man City. Other Cup ties have been a bit less in the past.
