Manchester United Jacket

Hi all, I have been offered this jacket but I'm not quite sure of it's history.
I believe it's from 1977 and from Manchester Uniteds Charity Shield match against Liverpool.
But there is no badge and I cannot find any pictures of the team coming out of the tunnel to compare it with.
It is not being sold as match worn or even from the club, but is it a replica (if so I cannot find it) or were they for general sale back in the 70's which I know was rare.
Any help will be gratefully received.

Its definately a Man Utd Wembley shirt, I thought it was 79 fa cup final but I'm not 100% sure. I have the shirt, exactly the same design, the badge was a sew on one bought seperately. Out of interest whats its value?

It looks like the Admiral top which was used in 1977 I think.It certainly looks an authentic item to me.

The sew on badge answer explains why it's not on the jacket.
I Googled the 1979 game and United played in red that day but in white for the 77 shield.
It's for sale at £30, I couldn't find anything to compare it with on ebay so as for value I'm not sure if I'm paying a little over for it?

I think that is a good price if it is from that era. My shirts from the late 80s raised 30 quid or so a while back. There are collectors out there who buy retro items.

Well the tops mine now, for £30.
