Team Selection Postcards

One of my favourite parts of the the hobby is to find the selection cards sent out by the clubs to players as well as officials, usually with just a few days notice, before the days when everyone had a telephone and that letter writing was simply the norm of communicating.

I do not think they are more interesting coming from the big clubs but equally of interest at the other end of the football spectrum because whether you are an Arsenal or Ashton Under Lyne playing in a Division that is light years away from the top of the football summit, the games were just as important to everyone involved.

Here are a few examples where some United youngsters were involved and i shall post some others later where the cards went to the officials for local amateur football.

Maybe, everyone else can join in and show some of the team or officials postcards that they have-the more the merrier please.

Your website is totally and utterly immaculate!, well laid out-great scans and a fabulous variety of items relating to your beloved Northampton Town F.C.
Highly recommend anyone who has an interest in our hobby to have a good look through.

Of course i am biased when it comes to websites as I feel Flickr allows you to be a bit more expansive, but take nothing away from this excellent collection from Chris!
