14. Barrow v Swansea - FA Cup 3R - 9 Jan 1954

This one pops up on ebay now and again but usually goes for a fair amount unfortunately - not one I've got either.

I've got a spare of the FA Cup game at the Vetch ten years later though if you're interested?

Footballprogrammes.com have got a Halifax v Spurs in stock at £50 with punch holes, it usually sells on ebay for around £60-£80, it is quite common as Halifax programmes go turns up about once or twice a year, most of the League programmes for Halifax from that season turn up about once every 15 years!

My primary collection is based on the record post war attendance games for all 113 clubs which have played in the Football League since 1945.

My secondary collection is the record all-seater attendance games for the appropriate English clubs in their current stadia.

Hence the name, crowdedhouse.

Yes, I was planning on adding Scottish clubs this year but I'm concentrating on filling the gaps as much as possible with the English League clubs. At the moment my programme collection stands at:

Post War record attendances: 75 out of 113 (66.4%)
Record All-Seater attendances: 33 out of 82 (40.2%) **This changes all the time as new stadia open, ground refurbishments, etc,. There have already been 9 clubs setting new all-seater attendance records this season and its only January. These clubs then go from collected to wants spreadsheet again.**

I'll concentrate on finding a few more programmes and once the supply drys up I'll add the Scottish League to my collection to keep it growing.
This theme can be as large or small as you want as the potential to add all the non-league clubs as far down the pyramid as you like as well as leagues in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Although these programmes are for record attendance games a lot of programmes are scarce and expensive due to small print runs ensuring those games were a sell-out. A lot of games were the biggest in the history of the clubs so mark a milestone fixture. I just thought that it was a good theme to collect and they make fantastic reading on the history of the game.
