This has been going on for some time now, the buyer C..M with a high rating is/has been buying Chelsea photos from the 60s for up to 4 figure sums.
It's a mystery, rumour has it, it is someone buying for you know who!
I also know of a prominent seller of photographs who when he contacted the above buyer was only interested in purchasing via ebay Sherlock

c'mon Sherlock Holtie-name them! well at least who you suspect-"YOU KNOW WHO" You mean that sour faced ruskie-why? what interest has he got in that period and besides such a smart cookie would want to pay the least-assuming "you know who" is that, c'mon now spit it out!

BTW like any of us give a Fxxk really as whoever is paying these mental prices needs to be sectioned under the "dilussioned collectors obsession act" of 1844 where they think their club is an important part of world football but is basically built on the whims of one individual whose bucket and spade can be taken away anytime.

I say sting the cockerknees while you can.
If i had took that photo to the Altrincham Fair I would ask £10 for it and i would be offered a fiver from a well known collector. Laughing

Purely speculation gentleman, however my contact did state that this buyer only interested in purchasing on ebay which would suggest buying with a clear paper trail. If this person is shill bidding as you state, he/she has done it for some time and the buyer with huge feedback shown as c***m has paid huge sums for some time now.
There is thing qeerer than folk
The other thing I've noticed is the obsession with Bonetti, a chelsea jigsaw some time ago fetched hundreds
Perhaps it is just some mad millionaire splashing the cash to feed us poor collectors
I would suggest if any of us have some chelsea 60s press shoots list one and test the water!
Unfortunately I am not able to assist Sad

Seller is a good guy[ex copper!] so doubt any wrong doing 100%.
as for the rest of it it takes 2 to Tango so who is running up this up-stinks doesn't it. Your "contact" seems to know an awfull lot about what is going on here Holtie-perhaps he is the mystery other bidder> Anyway bored with this now-let's move on.... oh and by the way there is a "U" in queer! I suspect the second photo will get you some serious money on eBay.

Why don't you give it a go?
But be discreet, you don't want to 'let the cat out of the bag' Laughing
