I've spent the last six weeks re-photographing my Newport County badges, replacing the poorly scanned images with sharp photies, and I've been struck by the genre & "fashion" of these things.

It seems that the 2010s were the absolute boom time/decade for match badges, like never before. Then Covid came along and everything ground to a spectacular halt.

This particular market (or boom) never quite recovered thereafter...

Brilliant job there wiggy, I will properly give it my full attention later.

The European ones from 81 are a fantastic collection.

I love the patches too, I collect Palace ones as and when I come across them, and I also have a scarf I wear to Dorking matches where I have commissioned my own sew on patches, to replicate the 70's style ones, many people have made positive wow comments when they see me wearing it!



Oh and a rosette, I try to keep it retro and am on a 1 man campaign to keep rosettes alive lol

Oh wow, what a wonderful scarf. I absolutely love it and would make a beeline for you if I saw that, just to strike up a chat.

You'll have your own European collection after this year, David, can see Palace upsetting the apple cart & surprising a few. Honestly think you'll do very well.
