well it is possible , his other stuff is speedway and racing car programmes. My copy is 100 percent genuine, but it is all a bit strange. My guess is he has had this stuff in the loft for years.

Whilst I tremendously admire the incredible skill involved by Eammon in restoring ancient knackered programmes, I wouldn't personally do it to my programmes. It's a personal thing really, but I liken it to someone 'fixing' stonehenge rather than leaving some of the stones fallen on the ground.

This latest one is a snip at £600 in my opinion, and in my opinion because it's so knackered this one IS well worth some restoration - personally I'd have the pieces joined together, but then leave it at that - I wouldn't want it made to look mint condition.

If I was Wullie I'd definitely ask what else the seller is planning to sell - it's not an unreasonable question to ask because after all you might be interested in buying more stuff. Worst he can do is not tell you and say 'wait and see'.

I'm suprised he hasn't given you a heads up already Wullie.

the seller has already said he has had an offer of £1000 so that leaves me out.The only trouble is, the guy ( who seems a very decent chap ) is not letting on what else he has got. I'm really worried he has a suitcase full. It is all a gamble, the beauty of collecting Neutral

Sunderland Football Club wanted me to get in touch with them, but then they didn't answer my email. I think they probably bought the torn one (maybe they couldn't afford the good copy lol).
I praying that this is the last we hear of this, and no more turn up

only has 13% feedback as a seller, little bit strange, most of that cloths.

You should speak to vintage football mem on the phone for more information on his car boot sale encounter. There nothing suspicious about having two of something, if two people attend a game then they have two tickets that might then be passed/sold on BUT what is dodgy is not waiting for a while before selling the second to get more money.

Dont quite follow what you mean Paul. The guys feedback is 100 percent.
The seller is not a programme programme dealer and so that makes me feel a lot better about the deal. He got £4500 for the good copy and £1000 for the torn copy so i think he is very pleased. Nothing dodgy at all and eveyone is happy.
As i said all along, the only worry is more turn up, but that is hypocritical of me because my advice to sellers is alway sell one programme at a time if they are rare. I would never sell them all at once, so good luck to the bloke.

no I meant if you check his 400+ feedbacks you will that only 13 feedbacks are fro selling items, the other 400+ is for buying.
My fault for putting the percent symbol in there.

Its not for me or others to blind guess here but bearing in mind what vintage footy bloke has said about the chinese guy, might be worth speaking to him.

footy bloke was pulling my leg. I have had the programme checked out by a number of collectors and dealers and it is genuine. I can understand people have doubts as this sort of stuff only turns up once evey 10 years or so if we are lucky.

New member 2.718 please note i have sent you a pm.
There is a book out " Sunderland AFC finest Matches 1879 - 1939"
Inside is a three page report on the game. This is i would say Sunderland's biggest game up to this point with a crowd of 14,500 so may be, not a complete surprise a couple of teamsheets have turned up.

Thanks, that's one of the few SAFC books I don't have a copy of ... will have to try and get my hands on one.

Adds to the collection nicely. Never expected to get something from pre- Football league days ... 25 years older than the next bits I have!
