Never been a collector of modern day cards/stickers but I plan to obtain what is available for Blackpool's debut (and possibly only) season in the Premier League.

I have had a look at some websites but thought I would ask some basic questions on here.

Any info on what's likely to be available?
Who are the main producers these days and what do they produce?
Are there suppliers where you can just buy a complete set of a particular club? Hopefully buying direct rather than as an e-bay auction.

Any help or advice in assisting me in collecting just the available Blackpool cards would be much appreciated.

Match attax Trading Cards / Panini Stickers.

Can't say owt about the stickers, but I expect Match attax will be doing the normal basic set of 18 cards, per team plus the extras Man of the Match Cards, Fans Favourite, Manager etc. They will be out in October. Then there's the update around February/march when they introduce the 'extra' ones.
All through the season, they will be any number of Blackpool base sets for sale (16 or 1Cool, at cheap prices , it will be the Blackpool man of the match cards that will prove more difficult to get hold off.

Thanks for the information.

Are these 'extra' cards sold in packets along with the base cards or are they sold in separate packets?

Yes, the MOTM, Fans Favourite etc are sold in packets with the base cards, but are limited in numbers. I can't remember the exact ratio, there are also the highly sought after 101 cards which can go for up to £30 each. There's usually only four of them, but in all respect I don't think Charlie Adam will be in the '4' Laughing

As mentioned Ebay will have them in droves when they come out. For your own requirements, I think you'd be better off getting the basic 18 in a set, and then try to pick up the others (I'd guess 3 or 4 extra plus Olly) throughout the season, rather than going down to the newsagents and buying a load.

There are also a couple of lads on here, who like myself get them for the kids (at least I think they're for the kids Razz ). who as the season goes on would no doubt keep a look out for you. I'm sure they're probably know far more than I do. SB

That's brilliant Stu, thanks again for the info.

One final question - is there a definitive list of all the cards available once the cards and extras have been produced?

Yes mate, there is a list on the inside of the folders and also the match attax website, where there is a virtual folder which includes all the limited additions. Topps are very cute when it comes to marketing, they issue limited additions if you buy a certain magazine a certain week, the collectors tin and various other methods(although these tend to be players from the top 4/5 teams).

It also helps if you're collecting for 1, I took my little un's to Vale Park last season (I know someone get onto social services again) and gave them a packet each whilst sat in the bar. Unfortunately, my 5 year old gets the Torres 101 card, which didn't go down too well with my 6 year old. Still, that's life I suppose.
