Sorry i'm not Tech minded so don't know how you show pic , but I've seen Walsall Teamcards from this era before so they are not the rearest.
It's hard to say, if i was a Preston collector (or Walsall) i'd grab it. I would say it would be a lovely item to have , but at that price not a great investment.

Agree with Wullie, plus be careful that it isn't a reserves issue.
He is right that they are not believe it or not that rare so I would say the £850 is top price, do a Google search as I am sure I have seen them on ebay before.

Hi
You may see a small return, the 1928 final would make £600-£700 depending on condition.
As for the single sheet card, I am certain I have seen these on Ebay, but they may have been reserves team cards, but 1890 is pretty early! Is it like a fixture card with players on it?

The 1928 final programme at £550 in decent condition is about the right price. They usually fetch more on Ebay. At auction recently they have fetched between £550 and £600 including commission.

Unusually i comes around more often than most of the early 30s finals.

As for the Walsall programme, I wouldnt touch it at that price.

I have had one of two items on a credit card but paid it off very quickly. Buying programmes you can't pay for upfront is a bit of a risk. If things go wrong you've got to resell them, then find out you can't get what you've paid for them. I've seen many gems i'd love , but if they are out of my price range then i can't have them.

Makes sense done that, about thirty years ago I took out a loan from the TSB, one of the worst things you could do but I got my beloved Reading v Bradford Park avenue, the very first match in the Southern League and have still got it, it's a bit like grubby but you can still read it, then it cost me £950 I don.t know how much it's worth today but being part of my collection I am keeping it.

Just wondered how much would it be will worth in the future when something might happen to me, Armageddon might finish my collection forever but meanwhile I collect because I was born to do what was right collecting things from past.

Just brought a load of games and a Nintendo Cube, Snes, 64 and the earlier consult, brought them because I was behind time with old Sega Cd rom package plus it was getting harder to buy the games, had a load of football ones as well, with the Spectrum 46k whoever brought Handball Maradona, football Manager (I was always sacked and always ended up bottom of Division Four) I can just imagine what a manager must have felt after a few months at Park Avenue.

By the way? If it's any consulation to you lot 1888 Stoke v Preston North End league match went for £10,000 last July, so if I were you I'd take your programme to a dealer find out how it's worth and take it to Auction it pays in the end, or maybe not, ALWAYS WORTH A TRY.

If that Stoke v. Preston was 1888/89 then that was the first ever season of League Football and North End were champions so 10 grand seems fair to me.

Just as a matter of interest, what were Bradford PA doing in the Southern League?

Being serious now, The Football League must have had only three leagues going in 1907, most of the Northern teams then played in the Southern League as for somewhere to start them off, until a Northern section was founded hence Division three North and South in 1921-22.

So you paid £850 for it, but are willing to accept the same figure as a Buy It Now on eBay? Strange.

I'm not 100% convinced of the authenticity of this tbh. There's a little nagging doubt, caused I think by the use of the word 'Friendly' on the team page.
