Pete, I've never had a quandary like this before. Another member, mustard 68 pm'd me at exactly the same time as you replied 13.59pm. He wants the lot, you want one. I really don't want to come down and say one way or the other because it would probably be unfair on the other one. Can we try and reach an agreeable decision between the 3 of us please? |

I'll have one for £20.
He can have 2 for £10.
Is that fair? I'm not getting into a bidding war.

Pete, no bidding war....just wanted to make sure nobody lost out unfairly. Think if I'd have wanted a bidding war it would have surely been done by pm rather than in public? Administrators can confirm the timings of both yours and the other interested party are exactly the same.
Anyway, mustard68 has got back in touch with me to say that he's happy with the two 1948 Australian ones so you've got the Surrey vs Yorkshire one. Need my paypal detials? Same as my email address.

Thanks John, hopefully we're all happy. Maybe if you'd just suggested that to Mr Mustard first? Not sure what else you wanted me to say.
Thank you mustard68.
Anyway, John, I have your email address, I'll send it now.

The quandary, as mentioned was the fact that both of you asked for the same item at the same time. It's immaterial that someone else also wanted the other items offered.
Anyway, long as both parties are happy then so am I, and you've both got some nice items. |

We have indeed, John, and I thank you for your fairness & honesty.
Sometimes with one-offs you just have to make a decision - it happens a lot with photos.
Cheers! |

Essex was the only side to bowl the 1948 'Invincibles' out in a day...albeit they made 721 in that time! A very famous game and scorecard for Essex fans! |

Essex didn't really help themselves did they? Bowling 129 overs in a day is unheard of nowadays. In the current climate and facing batting of that calibre Essex would have been slowing the overs rate down and would have bowled no more than 80/85 overs in the day - still, at that strike rate it would still have been about 480 runs at the close of play. |

I think that was a fairly standard number of overs in a day at the time...and they complain of too much cricket these days! |
