There are a few interesting ties in the draw, some derbies etc ...... but from my point of view (as both a Sunderland supporter and a programme collector) there is potentially a very interesting game, us against Blackburn or BLYTH at home.

I know it's not very likely, but I'd love Blyth Spartans to beat Blackburn!!

Providing we beat Histon, we'll be away at either Bristol City or Portsmouth. I've not been to Pompey and wouldn't mind a trip there, Bristol City I've been to plenty of times, never seen us win, and we'd have to travel on official coaches, so I'm definitely hoping for a Pompey win if we get through!

It makes you wonder sometimes if the draw is rigged,You couldnt have written it Derby v Forest, Forest with Derbys old manager in charge and a slim possibilty Derbys new manager could be Nigel Clough.

Deffo fixed, Liverpool vs Everton, first out of the draw too. Man Utd vs Tottenham. They always have 1 or 2 BIG games in the 4th round and there they are. It gets the tv audiences in!

Personally, at first I was gutted, then shouting fix, then worries, then thinking of the possibilities and now I'm very optimistic.

We play them on Mon 19th Jan at Anfield in the league, then on the Sat/Sun in the FA Cup at Anfield too.

Then after those 2 games we have Arsenal at Goodison and Man Utd at Old Trafford.

This next month is going to make or break our season.

You're right CoolasCustard, our game should be VERY interesting!! What sort of reception will Davies get back at your place? Probably the same as 'Judas' Commons at the City Ground I expect!!
Just hope Davies signs Camp, he's been brilliant for us so far.
The only way I can see Sir Nigel going to Derby is if they say to him that he can stay at Burton until the end of the season. I think he'll want to stay there and see the job through.

Davies lives in cloud cuckoo land if he thinks he is going to be welcomed with open arms think it could get nasty.

I am hoping that we can get past Charlton and Orient beat Sheff U, that will see me at another ground and another programme in the collection! (I only collect one away from my first visit to each ground).

Gutted to lose to Villa yesterday, great game debatable penalty but there you go,Cheltenham or Doncaster had we produced the miracle,no disrespect to those teams but it would have been a disappointing draw.
O h well back to trying to get out of league 2.
