I sold 160 of them a few months back and now have none left sorry!
The numbering works where by the first number (which can be found at the bottom of the back page) represents the season the magazine is from and the second 2 numbers represent the edition.
eg 514 would be the 14th edition in the 5th season.
818 was the latest edition i have seen. |

Thanks for everyone's replies so far, although it's gutting to find out some have been thrown out recently!
The ones I'm looking for are:
Vol. 1 – 1-9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19-23, 25-27, 33, 37, 39
Vol. 4 – 412, 414, 424, 432, 434
Vol. 5 – 521, 528
Vol. 6 – 639
Vol. 7 – 719, 730, 739
Vol. 9 – 908, 912-917, any after 918?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Did you mean 918? I've got a few from volume 9, but 918 is the latest one I have. There was no indication in that issue that it would be the last one, but I've never seen any later issues than that. |

Well 818 was the latest edition that i sold but i did seem to think they did a 9th series too so you having 918 would match up with that. |

Thanks also to MRPROGRAMMES, who will be kindly sending me a couple to add to my collection.
Here is an updated list of my wants:
Vol. 1 – 1-9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19-23, 25-27, 33, 37, 39
Vol. 4 – 414, 434
Vol. 5 – 528
Vol. 6 – 639
Vol. 7 – 719, 730, 739
Vol. 9 – 912-917, any after 918?
I beginning to wonder if issues 639 and 739 actually exist - there were 39 issues in volumes 2, 3, 4 and 5. There's no mention in issues 638 and 738 about it being the last for that particular season. |

Dont collect these as such, but I love reading the letters in he ones that are in the programmes I have.
Over paid prima donna footballers, bad refereeing decisions, money ruining football. Its like some of them have been written in the last couple of seasons. I suppose some things never change. _________________ FPC Predictor Cup Winner 2013

Just started to catalogue my copies (not a full set), cannot add to your last numbers but can add the following;
Vol. 4 – number 40D
Vol. 6 – number 60A and 60B
Vol. 7 – number 70A
Vol. 8 – number 80A and 80B, plus what is probably a vol. 8 issue with no number (showing Stoke holding Watney cup on front cover, if anyone has a number for this issue).
Do not know where the A, B, or D come into the run of issues, except
60A has Div. 1 League Results which suggests first issue but Appearances start at Barrow missing A teams.
60B after the new year, contains a reference to news paper cutting 16.1.72.
70A has team League Appearances, this puts the issue between 701 and 702.
80A has reference to the league cup semi finals in a few weeks time.
80B came with a Rotherham United Programme dated 15.4.1974.
The first reviews started in August 1965 and only appeared in some clubs programmes originally called the Soccer Review. It was printed by Sport and Screen Productions in Leicester and was edited by Harry Brown. The Football League Review was published by the Football League between 1966-67 and 1971-72, later 1972-73 to 1974/75 was renamed League Football. |

tag2wow - thanks so much for a great first post!
Regarding the issue numbers with letters after them, I've just had a look through my collection, and I have the following:
40A, 40B, 40C
50A, 50B
60A, 60B
70A, 70B
80A
You say that you have issues 40D and 80B, which I don't have, so I'll have to have a look out for those two.
Whilst doing this, I have had a look at issue 638, and it mentions that it is the last issue of the season, so I can knock issue 639 off my wants list.
Therefore, my current wants list is as follows:
Vol. 1 – 1-9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 19-23, 25-27, 33, 37, 39
Vol. 4 – 414, 434
Vol. 5 – 528
Vol. 7 – 730, 739
Vol. 9 – 912-917, any after 918? |

Those with letter A tended to be a very early season midweek issue ,in many cases it APPEARS to be for League Cup 1st rnd ight,
vol b was probably similar but later in the season , around NOvember so maybe for FA Cup rd1 replays , and C ithink MAY have been for the secondhome game over Christmas/New year ESPECIALLY IF IT DIDNT fall on a Saturday
are collectors aware ofseveral issues carrying different back covers, especially on those with adverts on the backpage .
i have many issues spare , too many to list, and many not i very good condition.
PLEASE EMAIL me yourwants list rather than request through here, as I dont check this board every day.

Thanks also for the information regarding when the issues with a letter after them may have appeared in the season.
I am aware of several issues of different back covers - I'm not even going to get started on that one! At this stage, I'm just happy to have one version of that particular issue. Maybe at a later stage I may look into it, but not at the moment.
I have e-mailed you my wants list - I hope you are able to help me add to my collection. |
