I have in my collection an unofficial programme from Newcastle v Watford 99-00. It's an A4 issues, maybe 8 pages (I don't have it to hand) with the title "Divvent Bite the Hand That Feeds Yer!". It was an unofficial fan produced programme around the time that there was a fan protest because the club were in the process of forcibly moving a number of season ticket holders to inferior seats to accommodate more corporate guests.

Just wondering how many issues were produced, and does anyone know if it had any kind of impact on sales of the official programme (which it was intended to do)

The original Wimbledon FC did similar for a whole season (the last season that they 'supported' the club before the formed AFC Wimbledon)

Sales of the official programme would have been impacted insofar as the crowds were miniscule towards the end of their time at Selhurst Park (prior to becoming MK Dons and playing at the temporary hockey stadium)

That said, completists like myself (mostly the away fans to be fair) would have bought both the official and the rival fans programme.

Incidentally, this season at Palace home games there is also a £1 official 'kids programme' every game as well. Seems to be doing okay as well.

I remember those inferior seats . They were facing the pitch. Can't see what the problem is really. Corporate guests pay far more for a ticket and create a much better match day experience . Lets face it. If they didn't have Corporate guests then they couldn't pay their star 6 goals a season front man his £100 grand a week. Football fans make me sick to be honest.

There was also one produced versus Chelsea. I lived in Newcastle at the time and attended both games, I presume there are others.
