LEAGUE FOOTBALL MAGAZINE, variant back cover issues

There are a number of editions of the magazine that appear with different back pages, especially on volume 8.

Some have a PARK DRIVE CIGARETTES ADVERT ON BACK, AND ALSO EXIST WITH PLAYER ON BACK, these variants seem to start with issue 807, I am looking for odds from both versions


ADVERT BACK I REQUIRE : 807 ( Stoke, LC on cover) .808 (Kaye Hull) , 809,810,811, 814 (NOT brylcreem comp version),815, 817, 819,820,821,825, 827,833, 835 , 80A,80 B

PLAYER BACK : 807 (Webb,, replacement),823,

ISSUES 801 to 806 has ad for Football League yearbook on back. ANY OTHER VERSIONS WANTED.
will accept copies in programme, please state condition

I have about 180 all told most in mint condition but only one you require No 807 D Webb in perfect condition. I did'nt know until recently that there are variations. Does that make some more collectable than others? Also prices seem to vary wildly on the web sights I've visited so I am not sure of current values

Sorry should have said that I have those numbers or some up to Volume 3 where did those numbers go after?

hi guys though I didnt mention it in my original posting the same problem seems to occur or some editions of vol 2 (especially the later issues ) and volume 3


the difference APPEARS to be whethr it is OLD HOLBORN or PARK DRIVE advet on the back, please quote any you may have available, or know exist.


to date I know of only ONE EDITION, where this has affected in inside contents

Itseems I have some you dont and vice versa, I am trying to update my wants list from the information now received I believe you had one of my wants ,


does the person who offered me the David WEBB backed version still have it,if so how much do you want for it I asume it insnt creased.

Simon, If I recall I'm sure 434 is numberless and doesn’t carry the Park Drive advert worded NO FLANNELL - ALL FLAVOUR. Whether it exists in this format or indeed numbered I can’t say.

The cover picture features Lincoln City (Red) v Aldershot (sky blue) & the back page is Alan Ball (Everton). Why the different format for one issue, I don’t know.
