I know there is a good copy for sale at the moment on ebay. Are you afraid it may be a reprint ? The seller is respectable , i'm sure it's genuine.
But i admit the number of reprints nowadays is scary

Yes Wullie my query relates to this issue. I also think it is genuine but thought i would ask the question as it appears to be almost mint which is unusual.
I do have a genuine Scunny v shrewsbury 50\1 ( first game for both) and I know it was reprinted in the 80s or 90s.

I dont know where all these reprints are coming from. Years ago, an old programme would be reproduced and inserted in to a modern matchday programme. But now they turn up all the time . I don't think they are a problem for pre 1950s , as most collectors could tell the difference. I think the problem would be when the quality of paper in programmes became better in the late 50s and 60s. With early 1960s league cup finals and some European games, costing a fortune, i can see this becoming a big problem. In think a list of known reproductions is now pointless because they seem to turn up for all sorts of clubs. And i'm sure it's not the clubs doing the copies, for example this Headington United copy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Reproduc.....3363403bbe . Clearly it's stated as a copy, but over time i wonder how many turn up as genuine.
