We all know how sad we are and we will collect anything.
So nows its time to get it all off your chest.
Whats your strangest pieces of football memorabilia?
I dont mind starting.
A floodlight lamp from the Valley - they were dismantled and sold to Biggleswade Town (I believe) during our exile from The Valley and I just happened to be there at the time to liberate one.
Ground regulations board (again liberated) from The Valley at the last game in 1985 before our exile.
The massive badge which was attached to the front of the North Stand at The Valley prior to its demolition and rebuild.
A silver tray which was presented to Bob Curtis in the 70's as part of his testimonial. It is very cheap and tacky.
There we go then, I do feel better for that. Anyone else want a go? |

Mine is a telegram from Frank Stapleton saying "to all the lads good luck for the coming season" He had just moved to Man Utd from Arsenal.
I was chuffed to have this and even bought a frame for it, sad really! _________________ "We have a problem with Sol Campbell" Arsene Wenger. 04/02/06 |

I was in the corporate end at sjp a few seasons back and 'kidnapped' 3 foot and a half stand up card figures of Shearer, Given and Lee for my collection.
There was a life size one in the reception area but even with the aid of all the free wine couldnt figure out how i might snaffle that one unnoticed |

...and I thought it was me. I once had the notion of getting something totally different from every Junior football ground I visited one season as a one off. I started off with a piece of toilet paper from one ground (which was "rare" in memorabilia parlance as there's so few crappers in these grounds) A piece of crust from a Scotch pie followed the next game, and an empty cheap kola bottle followed thirdly. I then got bereft of ideas and gave it up, and the pie crust was starting to disintegrate anyway. Will definitely do something similar again one day, but I will carry it out with military precision. You can't be too careful.... |

The wife owns a pair of "I've scored with the Owls!" knickers signed by David Hirst.

I own the silver plated 'bowl' that was presented to Graham Barber when he referred a Champions League game in around 2002. Someone like AC Milan v Borussia Dortmond. |
