1960 Rome Olympics

As there is currently a thread in respect of Clubs etc v GB Olympic XI's (1948-1971) I thought I would post some links in respect of the 1960 Olympics, which maybe of interest to some.

I found these whilst using the online Corriere dello Sport archives. Some links to football are listed below. Click on each page and they will turn over to the next page. Unfortunately, there is no index for each subject / date and therefore it can be quite difficult to use at time. However, by changing the number in the url in your address browser you can navigate yourself around a bit e.g. if you change the "14510" to "14509" you get the programme for cycling

If you wanted to use access the Corriere dello Sport archives themselves the best way is to go wikipedia and select the Italian version for "Serie A" for the relevant season / year. At the bottom in the references you can click on a link to the nearest date you require. By changing the url to and fro you can eventually (hopefully) find the date you require.

e.g. you require the date of 6th Feb 1961 go to:
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serie_A_1960-1961
select the reference for 25th Jan 1961
http://dlib.coninet.it/bookrea.....1/mode/2up
Change the url e.g. to 8896 and this brings to you the issue for 6th Feb 1961.

I believe dates are available from circa 1946 to 1971. Whole years of 1963 and 1965 are missing.

As I say it is a bit fiddly to use but well worth the effort if you are trying to tracked something done.
