Would it be legal to scan programmes and make browseable copy's on your website (with a watermark)?
I'm thinking about digitalizing my NAC Breda programmes, especially the early editions as their quality will only go down in the future.
Is that allowed?
I see numerous websites with pictures of covers, teamsheets and tickets but no full programmes.

I really can't see a problem (Though not sure). After all, the programmes belong to you, so surely they are yours to do with as you wish. I imagine that if someone did copy one off your site and then sold it on as an original then they, not you would be the the ones breaking the law.
Maybe someone else on here can help more than me.

Cheers Jamie.

You don't own the copyright - therefore you do not have the right to reproduce them and sell them (I think for 50 years in the UK). But, you do own the copy which you have purchased and this gives you the right to display those images (and content). Since you are not selling them there will be no copyright infringement - you are simply showing (everyone) something that interests you and you wish to share it. I rather imagine you need to frank the images in order to avoid the slight possibility that someone copies and sells (some of) them - but as stated above - you aren't liable for someone else's breach of copyright laws - there would be no intent to commit a tort on your part.

If you are still unsure contact the publisher/club. I'm sure they will concur.
