No 1 for me the elusive Boston United v Lancaster City 1972 FA Cup game, that will finish off my 72/73 collection , apart from qualifying rounds of course , some which will never turn up.
Ticket stubs from the same cup season. Ones I haven't got, normally turn up once every 2/3 months but are becoming expensive, still if you're in the game, you've got to pay.
Apart from that , I'm just saving my money until something really nice turns up. You never know when or how but they always turn up. Peter has just reserved for me a brilliant press photo 1937 Cup final for me.
Happy New Year everyone, and the best of luck with your collections.

I never know until something special turns up.

I'd like some 1976 cup run ticket stubs,
anything unusual related to Palace in the Anglo Italian cup

those are the things I'm looking out for the most at the moment.

Not a month goes by where something tempting doesn't come along, really I should spend 2014 on decent storage. Loft conversion will happen in Feb/March, and then I can get my whole collection sorted into nice matching storage boxes, rather than 25 years worth of rubbish carboard boxes under various beds around the house.

Getting everything in date order and accessible will give me a new lease of life, and make it easier to actually access and enjoy my collection to the full.

I'd also like to get various bits nicely framed and in display cases so again I can enjoy them properly. I'm always 'I'll do that next month', then something nice turns up and the money is gone!!

This is the photo Wullie mentioned - Raich Carter leading his team down the Wembley steps with the trophy after beating Preston, 1937.

Surely enough to cheer any Mackem up as they approach Christmas marooned at the foot of the Prem.

Would have to say any of the 31 Leeds homes (League and Cup) from 1946-47 onwards that I need.

If that weren't enough - any home friendly, west riding cup and postponed from 1946-47 onwards that I need.

I have also started picking up the occasional 1940's away plus home reserves from 1980 onwards...

All in all.... not a lot Laughing

Same as it has been for the last Gawd knows how many years.

55/6 Barrow v Derby.

Best price paid - or can exchange for a complete set of original Beatle 45s. All in original Parlophone/Apple sleeves!
