I have a load of old programmes but some have players autographs on them which were obtained after the match.

Would these autographs devalue the programme? Smile

It will depend on whose autographs they are and how many autographs are on it, I have sold a few in the past and found that the value of the programme is about the same as an unsigned one, although in one case I got £360 for a 1966 signed England v Wales prog that was autographed by the World Cup Winning team.

Not a great lover of autographed progs my self ,for some reason progs are graded by front cover appearances,so if auto inside i would purchase for my collection if it was also an hard to obtain prog of my "Wants" list.Saying that recieved a Kettering away today at A.P.Lemington 76/77 with Derek Dougans auto on front and do not think this distracts from its appearense or value?.

Programmes that are signed by the whole team on the teamlines are worth more than ones with no autographs.
Ones that have autographs that can't be read dotted around the programme less so.

When Colin Murphy was manager at Lincoln in 84/85 i sent off a sae asking for a copy of a recent Lincoln v Bolton programme.I received the programme as requested and was surprised to see it fully signed by the Lincoln squad.I put this on ebay a few years ago and got about £3.Disappointing really.

At one time it was relatively easy to get a player to sign a programme but not so simple these days! Going back over the years I have managed to obtain some for my collection including Blackpool v Bolton FA Cup Final 1953 - Stan Mortensen and Harry Johnston; England v Wales Nov 1956 - John Charles; Chelsea v Wolves Aug 1958 - Jimmy Greaves; England World Cup X1 v England u/23 X1 May 1958 - Brian Clough; England v West Germany Nov 1970 - Peter Osgood (Guess the dates of the programmes will show how ancient I am!!!)

I will have a few signed for you soon;

88/89 Coventry away signed by Marwood and Bould

03/04 Blackburn home signed by Viera

Plus a batch of signed photos and a 03/04 team signed shirt.

Anyone interest PM me and I'll let you know when I have them in hand. It's part of a batch of Arsenal stuff I have sort from 1951 progs to a piece of carpet from Highbury Stadium players lounge Smile

Not a programme but a Liverpool book from the early 70's, picked up from a Scouser who'd moved to Boston in the late 70's and who was about to bin all his 60's and 70's LFC/Tranmere stuff. I gave him 30 quid for a box full off stuff, this was at the bottom and about to be binned until I turned the inside page.

There's also 2 or 3 loose sheets with Bob Paisley, Ian St John,Alun Evans, Ian Callaghan and a whole host of others.

See how many legends you can pick out.

I like to collect those facimile signiture sheets if anyone has any they want to offer. I don't want photo copies of them though as I've seen advertised on Ebay. I like them old and if poss with the envelope they where sent to season ticket holders in.

Depends which club (or more importantly, which league). If I can be bothered to go to the club shop before a Stevenage match I get two programmes and then wait for the players to turn up and ask them to sign one of the progs on the front cover which they do with a smile and a thank you!
