A GUIDE TO MIDDLESBROUGH FOOTBALL PROGRAMMES 1946/47 – 2011/12

A small band of Boro enthusiasts, including myself, have been on an 18 month journey to produce a book titled A GUIDE TO MIDDLESBROUGH FOOTBALL PROGRAMMES 1946/47 – 2011/12.

This publication comprehensively lists & dates Middlesbrough programmes back to the first post World War II season of 1946-47, in effect a checklist. It covers 1st team, Reserve and Youth team fixtures in various league and cup competitions, friendlies (over 600 of them alone) and other games played at Ayresome Park and the Riverside Stadium. This is the first occasion that Middlesbrough Reserve, Youth Cup and NRSC fixtures have been collated and listed in a publication.

Remarkably there have been Middlesbrough fixtures played in nearly 40 countries in this period, from single sheets to 100+ page publications and this guide lists all the programmes issued and also games where there was no issue. In total over 6,500 matches are listed.

Any profits made from sales of this Limited Edition print run will be donated to the Middlesbrough Former Players Association (M.F.P.A.).
