Has anyone managed to collect every match programme in every round of a cup competition?

Example - every game in every round of the 1984 Scottish cup.

Certainly one, maybe two, complete seasons of the Leyland-Daf Trophy programmes. Probably 89/0 and 90/1 though I'd need to check that.

Interesting competition to collect - especially the early seasons as (like the League Cup) there are lots of s/s and 4 page issues that may, one day, turn out to be valuable? (He said, hopefully!)

I believe Wullie (a Sunderland supporter on this forum) has collected many of the 1972/3 season FA Cup when they got a bit lucky in the Final!

Still hurts Crying or Very sad

I remember that game. Leeds pounded the Sunderland goal especially the 2nd half and the keeper was stopping everything. A famous Sunderland fan was Alf White better known as vet and author James Herriot.

A Few years are complete, the rest is a work-in-progress.

Have a set of City's Cup runs from 69,81,11 and League Cup's from 70,74,76 plus the The Full Members Cup from 86.

4 Short of having the 55 & 56 FAC runs.

Mark - I don't think they mean all the winning club's programmes - I think they mean every programme from that years cup competition!

Quite a feat considering that there were 833 teams in the FA Cup this season! So literally hundreds of games. And loads of them in the earliest rounds are tiny crowds at tiny clubs. No full time club shops to chase, and lots of them may never hit ebay

I'd say the key to this is to decide you are doing this at the outset, and order them in advance by writing to each club, with a cheque and an SAE.

The League Cup is much more do-able, still quite a feat though.

Yes I did mean that Dorking but as you pointed out it's a mammoth task. The league cup may not be so difficult and the challenge cup in Scotland is do-able.

Mark has given me an idea though.I think i'll take a look later and see how many complete cup runs I have when Rangers reached the final, that is quite an interesting one.
