On the programme front probably the 5 bound volumes of pre war BUFC I picked up in the autumn.......
With Subbuteo, which I collect as and when finances allow I suppose it was the box full of mint heavyweight 70's teams I bought at a boot sale a few years back for £50. When I got home there were 35 complete teams before I even looked at all the spares and accessories..... |

Once picked up a special edition 1970 World Cup subbeto set from a Charity shop in Milton Keynes for £3.50(I managed to knock £1.50 of the asking price) and sold it a week later on ebay to a guy in Italy for £300 – I had no idea what it was worth or of the market around the world for them. I never seen one since _________________ Every Man Needs A Hobby |

Possibly a set of 4 scrapbooks covering the 55/56 season in Division 3 (North) which cost something like £3 many years ago.
Whoever it was who compiled them must have spent hours and hours on it as there's not a square inch wasted. 100s of match reports, match photos, tables, scores, misc press cuttings.
A real work of art.
Especially interesting to me as it was Derby's first season at that level. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/derby1884/sets/ |

Big season for Derby, half their old team turned up for Boston Utd in the FA Cup and did them 6-1! |

And the programme for the next home game (v Wrexham) makes absolutely no mention of the Boston game! Not a single word.
No matter - we got our revenge (just!) in '74... _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/derby1884/sets/ |

When picking up a couple of cheap run of the mill programmes from a site that specialised in other non sport memorabilia I spotted a couple of original 1960s Pirelli calendars for a fiver each. Took a punt on them (postage cost me over a tenner) but they sold for about £70 and about £650! |

I remember Boston losing 8-0 at Bath City 1898/99 season when McFraud 1st arrived, he made mention of the home win on the previous Saturday but not one word on the Bath game.......! |
