Colchester, Gillingham, Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury all joined the League in 1950/1. What I am looking for is what were their last homes and aways 1949/50 and what Leagues were they in?
New Brighton left end of 1950/1, and what were their first non league games in 1951/2 and finally Workington joined 1951/2, and what were their last home and away in non league in 1950/1?
Statto is the bees knees for all League games and non league but only from when the Conference started. Are there websites where I can look this up? Does anyone have any of the programmes?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Colchester United

1949-0, Southern League
3.5.50 H Bath City, Southern League Cup Final
6.5.50 A Barry, Southern league

1950-1, Division Three South
19.8.50 A Gillingham
26.8.50 H Bristol Rovers

Shrewsbury and Scunthorpe were in the midland League and met each other in their first game in 1950-1

Obviously as stated above Gillingham's first match was against Colchester 19.8.50. They also were in the Southern League.

Thanks for the website info. This is a great site, and if all the clubs had one of these then it would make life easier.
It's surprising what you can glean from some results.
Colchester were admitted to the Football League after finishing joint top of the Southern League on 71 points (it was 2 points win and 1pt draw then) along with Gillingham who only finished fifth with 55 points, with the clubs above them on 61 and 65 pts.
It must have been a topsy turvy end to the season for them. They won the first leg of their league cup 3-0 away against Bath, and lost the home leg 3-4.
Their last non-league home game was against Gillingham and they lost 1-6! By one of those strange coincidences, their first away in the Football League, was, you've guessed it, against Gillingham.
