Personally I would say that this programme is a fairly common item. A lot were brought back from the match by players and officials and from memory some were made avaliable to fans from the Black and White Shop ( the club shop on the open terrace)at the time.
As all of the seroius AUFC collectors ( all six of us!!!) allready have it in their collection I cant see too many people willing to pay anything close to the estimated price.
I seem to recall that the last copy that sold on ebay went for less than UK£20

Details of the four matches played by the club on the tour of Canada can be found here;
http://www.ayr-united.co.uk/htdocs/html/1973_74.html

If you were to join the clubs programme collectors forum here;
http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/AyrProgClub/join
and ask nicely someone may let you have a copy of the programme for a reasonable price.

Michael

Personally I would say you've got some front Red. You come on here asking for valuations, so that you can buy items at action to sell on ebay. There's nothing wrong with that, many people do it. However, they have the courage of their own convictions and buy at auction based on research they've done, or using their own knowledge. When given advice, you come across as quite rude, rarely giving even so much as a thank you, and then run straight to ebay to sell your 'gems.' You have started thread after thread of 'how much would this be worth,' or 'I've got a 1970's Man Utd programme with the token missing, rusty staples, and centrefold for sale.' Now you have the brass neck to offer a bulk load of programmes on the forum, receive a couple of offers, only to ignore them, and go and list them on ebay. Those of you that say Red is a novelty, I think his time is up. He contributes nothing, just constantly takes, and lacks any manners when advice is given. To me it seems like he treats this forum like another ebay, where he can sell the crap he cant sell on ebay, as well as getting his valuations on the other crap he wants to put on ebay. Rant over. Mad

Got to agree with Mick here. Reds time is up again. The forum is being spoilt again with his tireless threads and then the constant sarcastic replys from everyone else. I am viewing less and less at the moment, which is a shame as this is my fav forum dispite not really collecting that much at the moment.

I'd like to see the mods introduce an "approval" system for posts like on other forums. ForestMick's is an utter beezer and bang on the money...

You could describe Dangerman as a "whaoper" or a "daftie".
