One of the lads from our local junior team has a spare golden boot trophy.

He's kindly donated it to myself for this competition, I'd thought we'd have a little competition open to all. A chance to place it on your shelf at home for all prosperity.

Choose any three players before the start of the world Cup (June 12th) and add up the goals they score in the competition.

Highlight one for each round of opening fixtures, this will count double.

For example, you've chosen your three players Messi, Milner and Neymar

1st round - Group Stage (Messi)
2nd round - Group Stage (Neymar)
3rd round - Group Stage (Milner) Confused

In the event of a tie, it will be how many goals your players have scored in the knockout stages.

Don't worry no more World Cup Prediction competitions from me.

You don't have to highlight your preferred goalscorer lads.

They will auomatically score double for whichever round you have nominated him for.
