Newcastle United 1930-31

if anyone knows of any Newcastle United programmes from 1930-31, I'd be very interested in getting copies, scans, or buying them. My grandfather, Duncan Lindsay, was a centre-forward at Newcastle in that season.

I've just spent some of the kids' inheritance and persuaded a gentleman to part with his copy of the Newcastle Utd vs Liverpool programme from 4 October 1930.

Happy to trade scans if anyone has any others from that season.

The wife is now talking to me again. Is that a good thing? Answers on a postcard...

I think your wife should be informed that you have not spent any money. You have just converted some dollars into a sound investment, the wisdom of which will be shown eventually. It has not been squandered on the amber nectar nor fed into to the pokies. Pre-war Newcastle are almost in rocking horse shit territory so are a great find. I find it best not to discuss my programme spending habits with the missus, but it's the postman that raises the flag and there are ways around that!!
