Is this Newton Heaths first ever home match 20th Nov 1880 ?

Does anyone collect match reports.

Doubtful Bazza,

As the scoring would seem to indicate elements of the early system of scoring in Rugby matches.

Interesting to see, St Marks from West Gorton mentioned. The football club at St Marks went onto become Manchester City.

Yes Newton Heath first played away at Bolton Wanderers in a Challenge Match with Bolton just sneaking home 6-0! on 20th November 1880.
