Just bought 4 reserve progs (oldish) from Brentside. £7 and postage 79p.. Arrived one working day (i.e. ordered late one night delivered 2 mornings later) - can't argue with that.

John Dee
One of the nicest bloke around and completely trustworthy.
Bought most of my collection from him, his wife and kids are in the business too and can be seen helping out at Sportingolds auctions. Currently updating his website but if you email him he will always help you out.

Brian is a little slow Phil but he'll get them to you. I live 5 miles from his home and often waited a month for items.....

It's no excuse though - if someone has paid for an item, the seller should post it to the buyer as soon as the payment had cleared.

Just to back up what has been said about Brentside and John Dee, placed a big order (in amount of programmes) with Brentside several years ago and they bent other backwards to help (the order was less than a ton) . Although never brought of John he is always pleasant at fairs and always willing to go through his stock to find even a common less expensive item.

Would like to add Michael Hewitt and Kick Off programmes to this list, they are both Leeds dealers predominately but are very helpful and quick in turning orders around.

Michael is as trustworthy as they come, spent 50 quid on an item at a fair for a programme he didn't have with him, arrived in 2 days and a partial wants list checked. As a result one was placed to one side when funds became available.

On the subject of slow dealers... I bought around 10 items from a guy once.... waited waited waited.... rang him up and got fed up and went round....... after nearly 3 weeks.

When I checked the address it was ........... 200 yards from my house!!!

I got there and this fella clearly wasn't too well, opens the door and I feel a bit sympathetic (although I wasn't going to give him an earful I was a bit fed up) - loads of pills around the house and then his Thai bride - ok maybe Filipino - shows up and starts cooking dinner and she looked well enough to go to the postbox. I collected my programmes and walked home...

Have you tried ringing them Phil? I've had to wait a while before and when I contacted them they hurried it up a little. They're usually reasonably quick though.
