Hi,

I’m new here & looking to sell some programmes due a recent house move & lack of space.

I have a range of programmes from approx 1988 to the present day, including a wide variety of teams having spent most of the 90’s visiting ‘random’ games all over England. I am a Chelsea fan, but not looking to sell those (apart from duplicates), but have lots of Aldershot/Aldershot Town, Farnborough Town, Reading, Wimbledon. Other than this I have between 1-10 of most teams in England, but plan on doing a proper sort out over the next few weekends.

Can anyone offer any advice on the best way to go about selling? Is it simply to search all my programmes on here to see if anyone has it on their want list? Or are fayres better?

Finally, I know it’s hard to quantify exactly, but in what region am I looking per programme for 80’s, 90’s & 00’s in excellent condition?

Thanks in advance.

Nick

Hi Nick,

I had a similar collection of around 1000 odds and sods type programmes which I wanted to clear to create space. Basically I listed them on ebay for 99p each (you get 100 free listings a month) and at weekends there are sometimes offers to list 100 at £1 or more for free. I think I have sold about 400 so far, many for just 99p or £1, a few went for a few more, but sadly you are not going to get rich with what you have I am afraid.

I also got rid of a few on here so create a thread with a list, but be aware there are more sellers than buyers.

Good luck.

Paulo

Selling programmes has to be one of the hardest things to be successful at and I admire those who manage it. If you just list them you never know you might sell some. Choose a category either - Programmes for sale at fixed prices or Programmes for sale or swap. Every now and again you can bump it back up to the top. Going through everyone's wants list is a long tedious business and you'd be lucky to get a reply most times anyway because there is probably very many who don't use the forum that often and so don't update their wants lists.

So many times I have found programmes that are on some peoples wants and they never respond.

It looks impressive that this site has 2600 registered members but I wonder what percentage do not visit the site on a regular or fairly regular basis.

Of those 2600 registered members (many of which are Spam, but the biggest statistic I can throw at it, is that only 480 people have posted more than 10 times, so either 2100 lurkers or dead accounts or spam
