Well i know this season hasnt even finished yet but its time to talk of pre-season friendlies.
Anybody had any announced yet.
I have heard a couple of rumours that we will be playing Northampton and Colchester.
That would be great for me as it would cross another coulpe of grounds off.

We have just announced a friendly against Bristol C**y.
Friendly????? City v Rovers.
Friendly???????
Are they mad? There is no such thing.

It's a testimonial for Loise Carey.
He maybe a C**y player but fair play he has the 2nd highest appearance record for them. I think 20 more next term and he will get the record.
Don't see loyalty like that very often now.

I'm going to be in London from Saturday August 4th until early morning Friday 10th.

Swindon v Crystal Palace on wed 8th sounds tempting. Would appreciate any other recommendations sat 4th-wed 8th. Will be at the Womens boxing on Wednesday and Thursday but evening kickoff in Swindon should be doable.

I also might be at the football game in Newcastle on Wednesday afternoon August 1st. Any evening game anywhere in the north east?

Lee Chung Yong having his leg broken by a Welsh non league player last summer hasn't stopped Bolton playing various non league sides despite the criticism Coyle got for playing his best remaining player against a Welsh non league side.Mind you Stuart Holden got crippled at Old Trafford and Fabrice Muamba had a heart attack at Tottenham so who should Coyle play matches against?

July 20 - Bamber Bridge

July 27 - Radcliffe Borough

July 28 - Crewe Alexandra

July 31 - Chorley

August 1 - Morecambe

August 3 - Barrow

August 4 - Portsmouth

August 7 - Tranmere Rovers

August 8 - FC Halifax Town

August 11 - Accrington

Plus a 3 match tour of America with fixtures not announced yet but supposed to be in North and South Carolina. And a home match against an unnamed B list European side, probably Spanish but definitely not one of the glamorous Spanish sides, the club won't pay the appearance fee.Not that Bolton are glamorous opposition, it was funny reading the angry Borussia Moenchengladbach's fans reaction to Liverpool cancelling and being replaced by a visit from Gary Megson's Bolton a few summers ago.
