Evening Guys

You may recall my post a few weeks ago suggesting I'd created the most boring book ever. Well its about time I shared a few pages with you. I've copied in here the index, a sample checklist and a couple of pages of the scanned programme covers.

It has been professionally produced at lulu.com and runs to some 310 pages of A4 bound in a paperback cover binding. For those of you who want to self publish I would highly recommend lulu.com. Its not cheap but it takes all the risk out of large print runs. in all honesty I've probably given away more copies than I've sold.

Other than detailing on here I've now made the book available as an electronic download ( for the princely sum of £15). This allows the buyer to print the pages themselves, or I'd suggest just view when the urge takes them.

No doubt there may be people that will buy the download and give their mates a copy. What the eck I never set out to make money from this and the more Wednesday fans ( and even other supporters) that enjoy it the merrier.

In a peverse way I'm happy to share my experiences of this with other collectors - if anyones daft enough.

MAIN INDEX

SAMPLE CHECKLIST

SAMPLE PAGES

The quality may not be good on here since its a jpeg conversion from a pdf file. The actual file is bob on!

Enjoy

Excellent book mate, think I might purchase the download copy from you. Does it include covers of the friendly games or just competitive matches?

Cheers, Russ.

Russ

Its all 1st team issues, whether laeague, cup , friendlies, postponements ( excluding 7) and all reserve and youth friendlies ( again excluding about 7) all from 1945/46 to 2009/10

I'm bound to say so but its well worth £15. just search Sheffield Wednesday at lulu.com and it should pop up

Keep the faith!

All the best

Chris

Hi Chris,

So you persuaded me and I downloaded a copy of your book. Did have a few problems trying to download it but eventually worked.

It is a fanatstic work and I would recommend to non-Wednesday collectors, is there a Volume 1 as well?

For anyone interested there is a 25% off code on Lulu as the moment, but is only valid unti 29th July.

Excellent book mate.
Are they all your own collection?
There's a few programmes in there I wouldn't mind if you're selling?!

Any such book is a true labour of love, and the author should be applauded for taking the monstrous time and effort to put it together. Should be interesting next year when they're adding 2nd division programmes to the listings? Wink
