has anyone been to the northampton book shop run by John Atkinson ? I have dealt with them on ebay and they have often have good items listed on ebay and I was wondering if their shop has a good range as well or do they just stock more routine items in the shop and save anything older/rarer/unusual for ebay.

Hi Goonerboy,

I've been to the bookshop and they do have a small selection of programmes but they all seemed fairly common, recent items to me (mainly Northampton Town FC).

There is a good variety of books and records if that sort of thing is of interest to you.

There is a shop called Ken's in Newport Pagnell which had a bigger selection of programmes the last time I went, but again mostly recent stuff

While on this subject do any other members know of any other bookshops (or similar) that sell football memorabilia?

As Eddie said, it is mainly generic items in the shop. To be honest, I was very disappointed the last time that I went in a couple of months ago. That may have just been because there wasn't anything for me, but we're all after different programmes, so something may have floated your boat. John does give good discounts though, so if you are in the area, it's worth a visit. As the shop is linked with the Records section though, if John isn't there, then you aren't likely to get as good discounts.
