A friends is selling off a huge amount of collectibles (as he's moving house and a) hasn't the space and b) could do with the money)

I've told him that the prices he's looking for here are far too high but he's set on them. Any thoughts?

He's a genuine collector so any advice for him?

I would suggest that he would be better of selling them through a specialist sports auction house like Sportingold, he would be better of contacting them to see what they think.
He should also bear in mind who has signed them, those with Bobby Moore's signature on them tend to fetch more for obvious reasons. It also depends on when they were signed, if he can prove they were signed in 1966, they will fetch more, as in recent years some of the world cup winning squad have been doing guest appearances and signing things and these tend to bring the prices down.
